This year, as part of our ongoing undertaking to "Live Better Stories," (a Teva project), I resolved to embrace winter, get outside more, and drag the kids along. One of the best changes from previous winters is that Little Worker can not only fully participate in our activities, he can also express his delight. Also, now he wants to try more things: since big brother Munchkin wanted to ski this past weekend, he does as well - we can't wait to get out to Breckenridge to get him into ski school. He'll be our 4th child to learn to ski there!
Each year, Clif Bar sponsors Meet The Moment, a celebration of getting outdoors. They want you to share your next adventure by posting your photos and stories. Your adventures will inspire others, and even better, when you upload a Moment or share on this site, it prompts a donation from Clif Bar to their non-profit partners working to Protect The Places We Play. While we support all their partners (Access Fund, International Mountain Bicycling Association, Leave No Trace, and the Surfrider Foundation), I decided to have my $5 donation go to the Winter Wildlands Alliance:
Winter Wildlands Alliance (WWA) is uniquely dedicated to preserving winter ecosystems for backcountry and nordic skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and other non-motorized pursuits.
There are only a few weeks left for this year, so get over to the site now and upload your Moment, share your adventure, and get inspired by others. Also a great way to prompt a donation to some groups who are working on keeping the outdoors a great place to play.
