Even without consistent training or effort with my nutrition, I was feeling pretty good about my MAF training. I was comfortable with running slower, was enjoying seeing the pace per mile coming down (albeit slowly), and could see from the MAF Tests monthly that things were working. Monday that was all turned on its head. The only way I could get out for a run was to push Little Worker in his stroller. No big deal, right? How hard could it be? It flat out kicked my ass. Even the smallest bumps, let alone hills, reduced me to a walking pace. Pitiful. But also a lot of fun. There's something irreplaceable about running with the stroller, with Little Worker's observations about everything and nothing, and his excitement when he realizes we're at the spot where I promised him a snack. Worth every bit of the extra effort.
