2010 Training; Ultrarunning EMZ;
A good example of why I stopped using DailyMile. End of the year report, shows total mileage, breaks it down into monthly totals, but does not show a breakdown of the types of training, i.e. running, cycling, swimming. Really hoping to see a good daily log on the Endurance Athlete Project site soon!
As if she doesn't get enough attention, EMZ of If ICan't Confuse You... fame, has made the pages of the endurance bible, Ultrarunning magazine. Her name appears in the results for the 2010 Man Against Horse 50 Miler in the January/February 2011 issue of the magazine. Apparently she's legit.

Yes! A good log on the new site would be great! And for EMZ, she's a good cookie, must be those killer abs... She deserves the credit!
ReplyDeleteMuch respect to EMZ, and any other gal that can kick my ass!
ReplyDeleteEMZ not legit? Thought never crossed my mind....
ReplyDeleteThat is a heckava accomplishment.....
ReplyDeleteyes....please let us know if/when EAP starts a training log....but i hope they do the "donuts burned" thingy...it motivated me.
ReplyDeleteif i didnt know better, i would think you are stalking EMZ, but then again, who wouldnt, she RAWKS!!!
With you on DM. I was totally disappointed with the DM year end breakdown. Last year didn't they do it by activity? I don't care (honestly) about donuts burned or hamburgers burned. I mean, add that sure, but at least tell me my SBR totals so I don't have to go figure it out.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Emz & DRog are kicking some A$$ at RNRAZ today! Very cool, I knew she was legit. ;)
Maybe I'll get my name in some big tri magazine next month....well, probalby not since I didn't wear the appropriate envy attire.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on DM ages ago for the same reason. Well, also because they rounded up or down my mileage and that set my ocd off.
Yay Em! She should pay you for all the times you mentioned her in your blog :).
I don't like the daily mile site either. It always seems so damn slow!
ReplyDeleteI use my own log in Excel and only use the online log (Buckeye Outdoors) to show my training on my blog.
ReplyDeleteOf course Emz is legit!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for EAP to come up with something.
I'm looking for an excuse to get rid of DM, too. Emz is a superstar!
ReplyDeleteI upload all my runs to Garmin's Training Center, but not sure if they seperate sports cuz I'm "just" a runner. Good news about EAP. Congrats to EMZ, didn't she race a horse or something.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the same thing myself about Daily Mile. That would be great if EAP had something better.
ReplyDeleteGreat job in 2010 Kovas. I actually like the Daily Mile site but I'm not as experience of runner or into tracking too much of what I do. I only track my miles running, biking and weight workouts. Just don't have time to track any more. Plus I can go to Garmin anytime if I want to see what I did for a particular day, week.
ReplyDeleteDaily Mile blows for multisport peeps. I tried it for about 2 days and then gave up on it. I just tried Training Peaks for a couple of weeks and it is entirely too cumbersome - the java pods are painful to use.
ReplyDeleteBut BeginnerTriathlete.com has the best darn logs on the web.
Emz is the shit dude, never any questions about that!
EMZ, you rock girl.
ReplyDeleteI spend quite a bit of time a) running b) writing and reading about running to want to add Daily Mile as another commitment.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, EMZ!
ReplyDeleteDM is enough for me for now. But it's annoying that it didn't split up the year in review stuff by sport.
Thanks for the info on Daily Mile - was considering this one.
ReplyDeleteEmz is a rock star!
Never used DM but now I know why my twitter wasn't blowing up from you at 4am that you just ran 6 miles or something along those lines.
ReplyDeleteI have my own full blown spreadsheet that I can send to you if you want. Easy to use and all formulas already calculated. Let me know.
EMZ rocks for sure.
Last year, I stopped using DM for everything but running. Thanks for the reminder of why I did that.
ReplyDeleteI'm just plain not on DM because I don't want anymore log ins to remember!
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at your Daily Mile log. Impressive #s there, even if they don't distinguish between types of training.
ReplyDeleteAnd look at Emz, she's practically FAMOUS now! ;)
Mileage logs on EAP? Yes, please...also hoping that we can load history to capture ytd mileage.
ReplyDeleteImpressive mileage, K.
