Meet the new Chicago Triathlon Examiner (same as the old…)

Inspired by Andriana at Run4May, I applied and was accepted as the Chicago Triathlon Examiner! For writing about local Chicagoland triathlon news, I can expand my circle of influence and even get paid to do so (Examiners are paid according to traffic to their articles, # of articles written per week, etc). It will also make me add some focus to my writing, as I’m supposed to write just about things that relate to the Chicagoland triathlon community. Yesterday I posted about some indoor triathlon series that happen nearby. My next article will list some local triathlon clubs. Any ideas on what else a local triathlon insider should be writing about?

Another way for me to make money is to have you become an Examiner in your local area and reference me as the referring Examiner. Make sure you include my name and ID code (51149) in your application in the Referral Details. You must use the Were you referred here by a current Examiner? portion of the application and refer me by name, title or unique Examiner ID code (which is #51149). If you use me as a referral and are accepted as an Examiner, I will receive $50 - I’ll be glad to split the referral fee – when I receive the $50, I’ll send you a check for $25. It’s that easy!

  1. That is awesome, Congratulations!!

  2. Congratulations! that sounds fantastic!

  3. Congrats!!

You can cover tris, clinics, shops, tri clubs, the age grouper podcast, the big chicago tri.

  4. Cool. I applied in my area and put you down. Unemployed, love to write (not sure if I'm really any good at it), and LOVE to go to races, shops, etc. We'll see what happens.

    Thanks Kovas!

  5. Thanks for all the congratulations (undeserved) and ideas. Jason, you are a great candidate and ARE a good writer! As I mentioned to Patrick in an email, feel free to poach any of my ideas if you run out of your own.

  6. That is absolutely fantastic news Kovas. Congratulations.

  7. Cool Kovas ... can you write about gear?? Most of us Triathletes are also geeks so gear and more gear would bring us in!!
